About 16% of each incoming class is comprised of international students (including dual passport holders). Some of the larger representative groups currently hail from Bulgaria, India, Nepal, Turkey, China, and Zimbabwe.
Early Decision I applications are due November 15. Regular Decision and Early Decision II applications are due by January 15. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org with any international student-specific admissions and aid questions.
You need to submit the following for your first year admissions application to be complete:
Lafayette considers national examination programs of various countries (e.g., GCE A-level, French Baccalaureate, and German Abitur) on an individual basis for credit. Credit will be granted upon the receipt of certified copies of the official examination results. Additional course information (e.g., course syllabus) may be requested. For information on International Baccalaureate policies, consult the Office of the Registrar.
Applications from international students are read on an accelerated schedule so admissions decisions can be mailed promptly. A priority review will be given to applications submitted prior to the deadline. Every consideration will be given, however, to students applying for admission and financial aid by Jan. 15.
We require all students seeking need-based financial aid to submit the CSS PROFILE online. Lafayette meets the full demonstrated financial need of international students through a combination of loan, job, and grant aid. The awarding of aid is extremely competitive.
Students who accept an offer of admission must submit the enrollment form electronically and post a $750 nonrefundable deposit electronically.
We encourage you to take advantage of as many of the virtual events offered as possible, including virtual interviews. While interviews are not required, they are encouraged. We attempt to create events at times that are convenient for students around the world. When conditions allow, admissions staff travel outside the United States in the fall and conduct interviews. Contact information and a schedule will be available in the latter part of the summer.
