Larger Than Life

Jolie Saint Vil ’27 is capturing the emotion of her family history and connecting with the Easton art community, creating canvas portraits that stand over six- feet tall. From contributing to the College literary magazine to forging connections with art history faculty, Saint Vil is finding her place at Lafayette through art.

Making Time

Joshua Williams ’24, Kwame Otoo Appiah ’27, and Eliso Morazara ’25 are using their knowledge to help other students succeed in school. At the Big Idea Competition hosted by the Dyer Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the team’s time management and planning app, Watermelon, received the top prize.

Raise Your Voice

Giulia Matteucci ’24 co-created the Lafayette chapter of The Women’s Network—a national organization that cultivates a space for women and nonbinary people to grow professionally on campus. Matteucci continued to explore her commitment to creating positive change as a 2023 Newman Civic Fellow.

Research With Impact

Working alongside Prof. Arielle Mensch (chemistry), Anna DiFelice ’24 (pictured), Abrienne Biondo ’24, and Anna Silver ’25 are researching how nanoplastics enter and impact the environment, and how those biological effects can be prevented or ameliorated.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

Julia Roman ’23 and Jean Regnier ’23 shadowed professionals working in various departments in the Philadelphia Phillies front office, including executive management, operations, scouting, research and development, and marketing.

Literacy Day Legacy

Held at a local elementary school, the annual Literacy Day welcomed students for a day of STEM activities, free books, and performances by Lafayette student groups. The Lafayette community donated about 2,300 books for the event, and participating students were able to take home as many as they wanted.

Soaring High

Seniors in Prof. Scott Hummel's mechanical engineering capstone, including Jack Wuerfl '24 and Wilmer Carranza '24, used 3D printing to create a battery-operated, radio-controlled airplane.

Lafayette Votes!

In a democracy, every vote counts. And through their work with the Lafayette Votes! program, Dimitri Chernozhukov ’25 and Kaitlin Ahern ’23 aim to ensure that all Lafayette students have the resources and opportunities they need to cast their ballots.
