As this challenging year draws to a close, alumni-owned and Lafayette community-linked local businesses that have been affected by the pandemic have plenty to offer in the way of products, food, drink, and gift cards sure to please anyone on your list. From delectable bites to savory sips, here’s a quick rundown of where to get thoughtful gifts for your nearest and dearest:

Historic Hotel Bethlehem
Who doesn’t love visiting Historic Hotel Bethlehem during the holiday season? The building, which is partly owned by Jeff Feather ’65 and David Bloys ’61, has quite a history. The original structure dates back to 1794, and along with rooms and suites boasts an on-site shoppe, ice cream parlor, and taproom. You can purchase gift cards for a stay or for dining, valued up to $1,000.

Jenn Bell McAtee ’11, flower farmer and LaFarm co-founder, brings beauty to Easton Farmers’ Market with sustainably grown blooms. Jen and her husband, Bryan, run Holy Cow Farm full time, and their variety of flowers and products changes throughout the season, so there’s always something new.

Pearly Baker’s, co-owned by Jonathan Davis ’93, is a favorite Centre Square restaurant that strives to be a better neighbor to the community. Its chef works with local farmers to bring fresh and local ingredients to the table. Throughout the pandemic, the restaurant has still been serving Easton locals with a smile, and offers gift cards and to-go orders.

Porter’s Pub
Porter’s Pub is a relaxed, casual, and intimate space that will satisfy your craving for the cozy comfort of the quintessential “Old World Pub.” Owned by Jeff Porter, father of Jacob Porter ’23, the restaurant celebrated its 30th anniversary this year.
