Lafayette guarantees to meet the full demonstrated financial need of our students as long as they meet the filing deadlines. We are also among a small number of top colleges and universities dedicated to eliminating or lowering the loan burden of students from families with incomes under $50,000. The financial aid staff is always available for virtual or phone appointments with students and their families. The privacy and confidentiality of the information you provide is important to us, so please include and be prepared to provide identifying information when contacting our office or submitting any documents.

LATE Policy

Early Decision and Regular Decision applicants who do not complete their financial aid files by the stated deadlines (see URL for New Students below) might not be eligible for institutional need-based grant funding and/or may not have their demonstrated need met.

Returning students who become complete after June 1st will be awarded based on the availability of funds.

New Students

Applying for financial aid for the first time can be a daunting process. We’ll walk you through the steps. The financial aid staff is always available to answer your questions and help you every step of the way.

Returning Students

Students must reapply for financial aid each academic year. Each year we take into consideration any changes in your family’s circumstances as well as changes in Lafayette’s costs.
