Fun Times at Homecoming

Homecoming 2016 was jam packed with activities for alumni, students, families, and the local community to enjoy. The College celebrated the completion of the Williams Arts Campus on North Third Street with an Arts Gala and Open House. Engineering students and alumni built a 150-foot replica of the Easton Free Bridge on the Quad as part of the 150th anniversary of Lafayette engineering. Athletics dedicated the newly-renovated Weinstein Natatorium. Then, there were picnics, tailgates, and the football game against Holy Cross.

Our Dedication to the Arts

Lafayette celebrated the completion of the Williams Arts Campus with a ribbon cutting marking the opening of Buck Hall.

Building Bridges at Homecoming

Students, alumni, and faculty engineers assembled a 150-foot replica of the Easton "Free Bridge."

A Stroll through the Arts

As part of Lafayette’s Arts Open House, hundreds of people explored the Williams Arts Campus, the Williams Center for the Arts, and Experimental Printmaking Institute.

Weinstein Natatorium Dedication

The pool reopened in August after undergoing a dramatic transformation thanks to a major gift from Mike Weinstein ’70 and his wife, Jill.

To commemorate the 150th anniversary of Lafayette Engineering students, engineering faculty, alumni, and parents build a 150-foot long, 4-foot wide replica of the Free Bridge on the Quad. The Northampton Street Bridge connecting NJ and PA, known locally as the “Free Bridge.” After the completion, people were welcome to cross the bridge and to take pictures with the leopard. Students stand on a replica bridges of the Free Bridge on the Quad. The bridge was created by engineering students and assembled by any member of the community wishing to join during Homecoming.
