ROTC: Reserve Officer Training Corps Scholarships

Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) scholarships are available for the full cost of tuition and fees plus a book allowance and a stipend. These are awarded on merit and require a military obligation.

The program is a part of the United States Army Cadet Command. Some classes and activities are conducted on the Lafayette campus under the auspices of the Steel Battalion ROTC program.

Students continuing in ROTC beyond their sophomore year may sign a contractual agreement which will lead to a commission as a second lieutenant in one of more than 20 branches of the active Army, Army Reserves, or National Guard forces upon graduation. All contracted cadets will receive monthly stipends during the school year.

High school seniors can apply for the Army ROTC National Scholarship beginning in June. Plan to submit a completed application before the end of September for your best chances of receiving a national scholarship.
