Through grants, scholarships, loans, and work study, Lafayette is committed to helping students reach their personal and professional dreams.
Please note that due to the delayed release of the 2024-25 FAFSA, some of our deadlines have been adjusted for the Fall 2024 applicants.
Scholarships
Scholarship funds do not have to be repaid. Criteria for scholarships are based on the individual award qualifications. Some scholarships are applied to demonstrated need first while others may be awarded after demonstrated need is met.
Grants
These funds do not have to be repaid and typically are based on some definition of financial need. There are several options including federal, state, and Lafayette programs.
Loans
Money that students or parents must repay after graduation. There are several federal loan programs that offer fixed interest rates and deferment options, as well as private education loans from various lenders.
Work
Through the Federal Work Study program, students earn money while working for an on-campus employer or one of our off campus partners. These funds are not paid to a student account but rather directly to the student through student payroll.
